This legendary Zuni Lizard pauses to bask in the sun as he climbs above the radiant adobe ruins, his segmented tail wrapped around the base and his turquoise eyes ever alert for danger or a passing meal. With his wonderful chameleon-like coloration, gripping claws and well-formed ridges along his back you know you’re looking at the work of a master. This remarkable fetish was hand-carved from Picasso Marble by Zuni artist: Herbert Him.
He measures 1-13/16” high, 2” wide and 3-5/16” long.
