Sea Turtle Box
 Box measures approximately 12” long by 8” wide by 7” high

The detailed carving on this box is fabulous. You can feel the leathery wrinkles in his neck and legs. The wood grain is particularly nice on both the turtle and the box with a very glossy finish. The turtle is carved out of the wood forming the lid of the box, which is easily opened using the turtle’s head and shell. The lid fits the base well and the grain colors flow smoothly from top to bottom and around the base almost as though it was carved out of a single piece of ironwood.

 is expertly crafted with mitered and pinned corners. The top is carved from one piece of wood and the box is signed on the bottom by the artist.
