About Yucca Baskets...
These appealing baskets are hand made in the traditional manner by the Tohono O'odham Indians (formerly known as the Papago Indians) in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. Bear grass coils are wrapped with sun bleached yucca leaves to create the natural light color, while yucca leaves dried in the shade provide the yellow-green color, and fibers from the devil's claw seedpod are used for the contrasting dark brown / black color.
